FAQ’s What makes BWA different from other advisers? As a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA), we act in a fiduciary role with all of our clients. This means that we must put our clients interests first in everything we do. Our focus is on meeting our client's and their families ever evolving needs in all stages of life. We go through a process of discovering our client's goals and experiences that allows us to develop customized strategies for each of our clients. In order to better execute those strategies, we are committed to investing in technology that will allow us to track our client's progress and provide them with access to their accounts at all times. What type of funds does BWA invest in?We primarily use Exchange Traded Funds (ETF's) due to the diversification, low-cost, and tax efficiency that they provide for our clients. When appropriate we will use individual stocks, municipal bonds, and CD's. We believe that keeping our client's costs low will lead to greater long term returns. How is BWA compensated? We are a Registered Investment Advisor (RIA). As such, we do not receive commissions for our investment advice or kick backs from fund companies, only the investment management fee. We are an independently owned and operated wealth management firm. We believe this allows us to always do the right thing for our clients. There is no incentive for the advice we provide except to benefit you and meet the goals you establish. How much does BWA charge for its services? Our investment management fees range from .75% to 1.0% of total assets under management on an annualized basis. Fees are billed quarterly and in arrears. How often do you recommend we meet electronically, via telephone or in person to update and review things? We recommend updating the financial plans usually once a year, or whenever you have had a significant change to your financial situation. We also recommend meeting with our investment management clients on a quarterly basis, but we can certainly get together as often as you would like. How do I get started? You can CLICK HERE to make an appointment. We do offer a free initial consultation, with no obligation, to meet and see how we can help you. Our office hours are flexible with evenings and weekends available if necessary.
